Big Tree Notes, Australian Galleries, Sydney - 2020

I call these new works Paintographs. The photographic image represents a reality that merges with the expression found in the use of paint, and the tension between these two art cousins presents in a new way.
In a departure from traditional edition prints, I am printing with permanent pigment onto canvas and overpainting selected areas in oil paint. Each work becomes a unique original artwork.
