See you tomorrow at 2, photographic studies from the studio of Margaret Olley

'See you tomorrow at 2', said Margaret, ' the last painting will be ready to photograph by then'. The next morning in my studio, surrounded by her paintings, I received a phone call...Margaret had died in her sleep. These photographs are Margaret's world, as it was, immediately after she departed. They are a tribute to the late Margaret Hannah Olley, 24/6/1923 - 26/7/2011. Greg Weight

Western Desert Artists

These portraits were made during several trips to the Western Desert region of Central Australia in 2006, 2007 and 2008. The Pintupi and Warlpiri artists in this series of more than seventy portraits are to be published in a book which is to be launched in 2010. Edition 1/5 pigment on cotton rag. Print size 95cm x 75cm and un-editioned pp C Type prints are available. Size 50cm x 40cm.

Desert Air - 2007 Australian Galleries Works on Paper, Sydney

Desert Air was an exhibition of photographs by Greg Weight and paintings by Carol Ruff. Carol and Greg made several art trips to Central Australia in 2006 and 2007 and explored the landscape in and around Alice Springs for the purpose of creating new artworks. Greg worked into the landscape making changes such as binding senna trees in open fields and painting the small stones that were set into the surface of claypans with watercolour paint. The results were then photographed and printed on cotton rag paper.

Greg was the inaugral winner of this photographic portrait prize held at the Art Gallery of NSW in conjuction with the Archibald Prize with his portrait of Jim Conway titled Railroad Blues.

Retrospective - AGNSW. Installations. In 1990 the Art Gallery of NSW held a retrospective exhibition of the Yellow House of 1971 that coincided with the centenary of the death of Vincent Van Gogh.

The Australian Centre for Photography - Two very different photographers, Greg Weight and Roger Scott shared this exhibition. The third exhibition to be held at the newly established Australian Centre for Photography. Weight's images are a photographic response to everyday visual perceptions. The exhibition toured southern NSW and Victoria.

Yellow House - 1971

The Yellow House was a community of artists working in Sydney, Australia between 1969 and 1972. Originally concieved by Martin Sharp, Albie Thoms and George Gittoes. The idea was to create Vincent Van Gogh's idea of a house filled with creativity, a community of artists working together. The concept of Van Gogh's dream became a reality at 159 Mcleay St. Potts Point and attracted many established and emerging artists including Brett Whiteley, Garry Shead, Peter Kingston, Dick Weight, Greg Weight, Julia Sale, Antoinette Starkiewicz, Vivienne Pengilley, Bruce Goold, Juno Gemes, Jon Lewis, Tim Lewis and Peter Wright.
